We’re thrilled to announce that Daniel Bernal, our 2025 Graduate Prize winner, has begun his artist residency at BOTH Gallery, leading up to his solo exhibition in January.

Born in Bogotá in 1995, Daniel is an artist deeply engaged with the unseen roots of reality. Drawing from literature, philosophy, and cinema, he develops a visual language that explores self-representation, socio-environmental issues, and gendered experience. His work—spanning sculpture, installation, and digital media—intertwines ethnographic research with poetic reflection, inviting us to consider how humans relate to their environments and each other.

Selecting this year’s winner was no easy task; we saw an incredible range of talent from MA graduates. Daniel’s work stood out for its strong narrative, political depth, and sculptural presence—qualities that resonate powerfully in our street-facing gallery space on Archway Road.

We look forward to seeing how Daniel’s practice evolves over the coming months and can’t wait to share his final exhibition with you in January.

Congratulations, Daniel!
