Louise Richards
Louise Richards graduated from CSM with an MA in Fine Art in 2021, having previously trained as a silversmith, jeweller and enameler. Louise's practice investigates the processes, spaces and tools found within the home, and everyday aesthetics. Through the rituals of boredom and repetition, Louise’s domestic experiences are the process for her practice.
Louise is conscious of the materiality and functionality of the tools found within her kitchen which have moulded to her hands over time. Through a combination of mark making, printing, drawing, photography, video and animation Louise explores the boundaries of materials and processes that can be developed to make works, whilst challenging the art and craft debate.
