PRESENT IMPERFECT - a grammatical tense which presents the action in the present as continuous, not yet over. Used for actions that are performed regularly or often, or for statements about an existing condition.
Present Imperfect is an exhibition by Alice Sheppard Fidler where she weaves together different strands of her practice, including sculptural works, photography, collage, and performance. Each day, she will be in practice with a visiting artist to engage in live conversations, physical labour, and re-imaginings of her work. By allowing her modular sculptures to evolve she will invite unpredictable outcomes and spark a playful exploration of the making process. The exhibition will culminate in a conversation with curator Becca Pelly-Fry on the final day.
